For schools, preschools, community centers and camps

Bring the best hour of their week to your kids.

First Field is the local team behind Soccer Stars, Amazing Athletes, Little Rookies Baseball, Karate Zoo and Little Medical School. We bring the coaches, the curriculum and the equipment to your space, so your staff can get back to everything else on their plate.

200+ coaches and instructors reaching more than 10,000 kids every year in Manhattan, the Bronx, Hoboken and Jersey City.

Who shows up

Coaches your kids get to know.

Every First Field coach and instructor is hired and trained by our own local team. We aim to keep the same lead coach at your site all season, and when someone is out we send a trained substitute.

Background checked

Every coach, before they set foot in your space.

CPR certified

Our coaches complete CPR and first aid certification.

Coaching licensed

Licensed and trained in the curriculum they teach.

Insured, with paperwork ready

We carry our own insurance and send your certificate on request.

Ways to work together

We fit into the day you already run.

Most partners start with a class or two and grow from there, and some hand us the whole after-school program. Community centers and residential buildings use the same menu for their members and residents.

After school

After-school classes

Weekly classes on your campus. You can pay for them, or families can sign up and pay us directly at no cost to your school.

During the day

Recess and in-school enrichment

Structured recess and PE support during school hours, plus enrichment classes designed for preschool and Pre-K.

The whole afternoon

Full after-school enrichment

We run the entire program with an on-site coordinator, and add arts, STEM and language so there is something for every child.

School's out

Holiday, break and summer camps

Camps for the days school is closed, run at your site or inside your own camp.

One day

Events and clinics

Field days and one-time clinics that let your community try a program before committing to a season.

Not sure yet

Start with a free demo

We will come run a demo class so you can watch our coaches with your kids first.

Two real examples

What a partnership looks like in practice.

Some partners hand us the whole afternoon, and others add our classes to a program they already run. Here is one of each.

Full after-school enrichment

PS 166 on the Upper West Side

We run the entire after-school program, Monday through Friday, for kindergarten through fifth grade.

Children lifting a rainbow parachute together in a school gym
the whole afternoon, handled
  • 400+students enrolled this fall
  • 100+classes on the schedule
  • 4thschool year together

When PS 166 needed a new after-school provider for the 2023-24 school year, we had a full after-school and recess program up and running within six weeks. We have run it every year since.

What we take care of

An on-site coordinator is there every day, along with a dismissal team that gets each child to the right room and back to the right grown-up. Families register and pay through our system, hear from us directly, and can apply for scholarships. Each semester ends with a showcase so parents can see what their kids have been working on.

What is on the menu

Our own coaches teach soccer, multi-sport and baseball, and we bring in specialist teachers for performing arts, art, technology, science, dance and languages, so there is something for every child in the building.

We could not be happier with our decision! Our families love the wide variety of classes and skilled coaches and teachers.

Classes inside your program

92NY on the Upper East Side

92NY runs its own programs and brings us in for the classes we do best. It is one of our longest-running partnerships.

our coaches, your program
  • 2of our programs on their schedule
  • 45 minclasses, twice a week
  • All yearschool year and summer

This fall the nursery school's after-school program has Amazing Athletes on Wednesdays and Soccer Stars on Thursdays. In the summer our coaches lead sports at their camps.

How the work is split

Their team decides what goes on the schedule and looks after their families. We supply the coaches, the curriculum and the equipment for our classes, and we fit into the days and times they give us.

Why partners like this model

It is the easiest way to start. You can add a single class, see how your kids respond, and build from there without changing anything about how your program runs.

Where we run

All over the city, and across the river too.

This fall our coaches are in more than 75 schools, preschools, parks and community spaces across Manhattan, the Bronx, Hoboken and Jersey City, so there is a good chance we already run a class around the corner from you.

Families also find our open classes in Central Park, Riverside Park, Hudson River Park, Battery Park City, and Morris Canal Park and Riverview Park in Jersey City.

The programs

Five programs, one team to call.

Every class is non-competitive and built around what children are ready for at each age, so they gain confidence and real skills while having a great time. All five are staffed and supported by the same First Field office.

Soccer Stars

Soccer · ages 1 to 12

Soccer Stars has been teaching New York kids the game since 2000, in a fun, non-competitive setting with a curriculum that grows with each child from parent-and-me classes through age twelve.

  • After school
  • Pre-K and preschool
  • Camps

Amazing Athletes

Multi-sport · 18 months to 12

Children learn the fundamentals of ten sports while building motor skills, fitness and confidence, which makes it a great fit for mixed ages and for kids who have not found their sport yet. Tots classes start at 18 months, and older grades can add PE and sport discovery sessions.

  • After school
  • Recess and PE
  • Pre-K and preschool
  • Camps

Little Rookies Baseball

Baseball · ages 2 to 6

A first introduction to baseball where little ones learn to hit, throw, catch and run the bases with soft equipment that works in a gym, a yard or a park.

  • After school
  • Pre-K and preschool
A Karate Zoo instructor kneeling and holding a kick pad while a young boy practices a kick

Karate Zoo

Martial arts · ages 3 to 6

Karate fundamentals taught through animal characters and high-energy games, where children practice focus, balance and self-control while they learn to kick, block and bow.

  • After school
  • Pre-K and preschool

Little Medical School

Health science · ages 4 to 14

The newest program in our lineup is hands-on health science, where kids put on lab coats, pick up stethoscopes and role-play as doctors and veterinarians. It needs only a classroom and is built to run an hour a week for six, eight or ten weeks.
